Terms of service

Draft · Working draft, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It is written plainly and it is what we actually do; a reviewed version will replace it.

These are the terms between you (the host) and SnapPool, run by [business name — registration pending] ([UEN pending]) in Singapore, for using snappool.photos and the guest pages it creates. If you create a pool, you agree to them. Guests who only add photos are covered by our privacy policy.

1. What SnapPool is

SnapPool lets you create an event, share a link or QR code, and collect the photos, videos and messages your guests add to it in one gallery. Guests need no app or account. You get a dashboard to view, hide, download and delete what was shared, and to set how long it stays.

2. Your account

You sign in with an email link; there are no passwords. Keep your email account secure — anyone who can read your email can reach your dashboard. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to create a pool.

3. Plans, prices and payment

  • Every account starts with a free pool: 100MB, 10 guests, photos kept 14 days.
  • One-off plans are paid once per event and include the guest count, storage and retention period shown on the pricing page at the time you buy.
  • Subscriptions run for a minimum term (6 months; 12 for Business Plus) and renew monthly after it until you cancel. Storage above your plan's cap is charged at $0.05 per GB per month.
  • Launch or promotional prices are time-limited and say so. A launch price applies to what you pay for while it runs, whenever your event takes place. On a subscription it covers the first 6 months, then the standard price applies. We tell you this before you pay.
  • During the public beta all events are free. We will give at least 30 days' notice before charging for anything, and nothing you created free will start costing money without your explicit upgrade.
  • Prices are in Singapore dollars and include GST where it applies. We accept PayNow or card; companies can request an invoice. Payments are taken on a page run by HitPay, our payment provider.

4. Refunds and cancellations

  • If something you paid for did not work as described, or you were charged in error or twice, tell us and we will put it right or refund it.
  • If you change your mind about a one-off plan, an extension or a reactivation, we will refund it in full when you ask within 14 days of paying and no guest has added anything to the event since you paid.
  • To ask for a refund, contact us with your order number, which is on your receipt and on the order page in your dashboard. A refund goes back to the payment method you used; how long it takes to arrive depends on your bank or card issuer.
  • A refund ends what it paid for. The event goes back to the plan and the date it had before, and nothing is deleted without the notice described in section 5.
  • A one-off plan is a single payment that never renews, so there is nothing to cancel. An order you started and did not pay for lapses by itself and costs nothing. Cancelling a subscription stops its next renewal.
  • None of this limits any right you have by law.

5. How long photos stay, and what happens after

You choose the retention period when you create the event. We email you 30, 7 and 1 days before it ends. Before it ends you can download everything or extend by 6 months for $19. When it ends, the gallery link stops working and the photos move to cold storage for 90 days, during which you can reactivate the event for $39. After those 90 days everything in the event — photos, videos, messages — is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If you cancel a subscription, your events stay live for 30 days and then follow the same path.

This is a commitment in both directions: we will not delete earlier than this, and we will not keep your guests' photos longer than this without your action.

6. Your content and your guests' content

  • Photos belong to whoever took them. You and your guests give SnapPool only the permission needed to store, display, resize and deliver them within your event, and to screen them for safety unless you switch AI Gate off. We never sell, license or use them for anything else, including training models.
  • You are the host. You decide who has the link, what stays visible, and when sharing closes. You agree to act on reasonable removal requests from people who appear in photos.
  • Don't use SnapPool to collect or share anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to share. We can hide or remove content and suspend events that break this, and we will tell you when we do unless the law prevents it.

7. AI Gate

AI Gate is a screening step, on unless you switch it off, that classifies each upload as appropriate or not before it appears. It looks at image content only. It does not identify people and it does not use face recognition. Screening uses Cloudflare Workers AI, a third-party classification service: the image is sent to it for the check and is not stored there. Screening is automated and imperfect: it may hold back something harmless or miss something it shouldn't. Held items wait in your review queue; you make the final call.

8. Our promises about the service

We aim to keep SnapPool available around the clock and to answer support in the times listed on the pricing page. Software has bugs and networks fail; we will tell you what happened when something goes wrong, and if a paid event is materially affected by a failure on our side we will refund it. Beyond that refund, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us for the event or the most recent 3 months of subscription, to the extent Singapore law allows.

9. Ending things

You can delete an event at any time from the dashboard; deletion is permanent. To close your account, contact us. We can close accounts that break these terms. If we ever decide to shut SnapPool down, we will give at least 90 days' notice by email and keep downloads working for that whole period.

10. Changes and law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. Singapore law applies, and Singapore courts have jurisdiction.
